I felt "bad brakes" this past week of a dark night in Sisseton, SD on my '06 Toyota Matrix. Wanting to go to a city with a Toyota dealership, just in case, I drove on the next 90 miles and overnighted in Aberdeen, SD using my lower gears to break the car as I came off the main highways. Checked into the very nice Ramkota Inn and waited for morning. Checked the internet for local Brake Service outfits, and called Gellings. Dennis (himself) answered and asked if I could bring it in at 10. I did and we took it for a test drive before putting it on the lift for a look-see. A few other things were diagnosed as needing fairly near-term attention - including struts, shocks and new tires - but no pressure on those and we focused on the cylinders, drums and calipers. Integrity, Competence, and Service. Can't ask for more. Charged for 2 hours of labor, though the car was on the lift for 4. They also refilled my radiator and changed the cable connectors to the battery terminals for essentially gratis. (I had brought my own from O'Reilly - see that great review here on YELP as well - and they were in my glove compartment awaiting my personal attention at home). Great, great outfit. Cannot more enthusiastically recommend.
